The Epson 96 Yellow ink cartridge is part of the range of new Epson Ultrachrome K3 with vivid magenta ink cartridges. Epson has developed two new inks - Vivid Magenta and Vivid Light Magenta - which utilise a newer high density form of magenta pigments inks. These new Epson ink cartridges are able to generate prints that draw on a significantly expanded gamut, using the eight colour ink system. The Epson 96 Yellow ink cartridge is part of this system.
