I recently purchased an HP Deskjet 1050 all in one printer and so far am very happy with it.  The printer was a reasonable $49.00 to purchase new and the cartridges (genuine HP) I have just purchased from Inkjet are $16.75 for black and white and $21.00 for colour.  My daughter also has an HP Deskket F2275 which also produces good quality printing for school projects etc.  The cartridges for her printer are $33.05 (through Inkjet) for a combo pack which are very reasonable.  One thing I look for now when purchasing a printer is the cost of the replacement ink cartridges as with some makes/models the cartridges can be more expensive than a new printer.  OverallI can recommend these two HP priinters for school, home office quality printing.  Hope these comments help

Some info on printers for you.

I have a HP Officejet 4355 (All-in-one) printer/fax/phone/scanner/colour copier. It is the best little printer I have ever owned. Extremely fast...quality excellent.....can use draft mode in print, that is ink saving, but still good enough to read. Have had this for 3 years and still as good as new. Had the previous model before that...(I think it was 4300??) lasted 6 years.

I also have an Epson C65.......not as good quality, but uses the Duro ink, so is water proof......cartridges inexpensive , but don't last as long as the HP. Both printers have been trouble free.

I purchase cartridges from Inkjet online because I support people I have dealt with in the past, but also it is extremely handy to order on the net and have the order in my post box the next day.

I only use original cartridges......probably because I have never had a problem.

My Printer Review:

I have a HP Inkjet 1050 and have recently bought a HP Inkjet 2050 for my sis.

Both require a HP61 Print Cartridge and I have tended to buy the 61 XL to cut costs. The price via Inkjet Online was very good - especially by ordering in bulk and not having to pay shipping.

Fow my purposes ( basic copying , scanning and printing ) and for my sisters purposes ( 2 school kids requiring the same as me but for school ) - the HP printers are more than capable of our tasks and keeping things simple and uncomplicated. I could want a faster printer / copier etc - but really for what I need it for - it works fine. I tend not to use the colour option much as I would rather use B&W instead ( so as not to have to buy the  more expensive colour cartridge - and for me the colour option is just a luxury that i dont really need ). For this reason - the HP printer is great as with other brands I would need to buy 3 colour cartridges + a black one. With the HP printer I can just leave the origonal colour cartridge ( that the printer came with originally ) and set the printer to just B&W.

The software ( which is installed to the hard drive )  is easy to follow and scanning , printing , copying is very easy. So if you dont need a super dooper fancy model - the HP is more than enough to get the normal household needs achieved.

I have a HP Photosmart 2610 all in one. It is a printer, fax, scanner and copier. It uses HP cartridges 94 black and 95 colour (small) 96 black and 97 colour (large). I did have some software conflict with the printer while running Windows XP pro. Had to ensure that the printer was off when booting up the computer. Other than that, it is easy to use and has good print quality. I have just upgraded computer to Windows 7 and downloaded new drivers and it runs great, no problem at all.

The software is fairly simple to use for scanning etc. All in all, it has been a pretty good machine.

Review of Hewlett Packard Printer

I own a HP Photosmart Pro B8330 printer and love it.  Have had various printers over the years, mostly Epson, which were OK, but like this one best.  I print mostly photos and documents with print and lots of graphics.  I enjoy that it is an A3 sized printer so that I can create beautiful photo prints for framing on the wall.    I regularly get comments from friends about the quality of the printouts that it creates.  What makes a huge difference though is the paper used.  Better quality paper equals vastly better results.  Using matte photo paper works best for me.  My only complaint is the cost of the ink cartridges – from $70 to $100 to replace the two colour ink cartridges each time.  Overall though, the best printer I have owned in 20 years.

My printer is the HP Officejet Pro 8500. It has a 35 sheet ADF, 250 sheet paper tray and will print around 1200 copies on a standard black cartridge or 2500 on the XL size. It also does four colour copying using three colour cartridges, all available individually. It can be used  as a scanner, photocopier and photo printer. I can plug my mobile phone/camera directly into the machine and print photos direct. It is, without doubt, the best printer I have had. It is used for home office use. I am self employed in service industries.
