Each of the six ink cartridges contain sophisticated circuitry that maintains an accurate record of how much ink has been used and the amount remaining. Ultramicrodots, which are incredibly small ink droplets and range between 1.5 and 20 pictolitres in size. The ability to print using different sized ink droplets. Where an increase in the number of dots per print can result in a slower print speed, Epson introduced the Variable Sized droplet functionality to produce varying sizes of droplets, each of which is appropriate to the area of the image being printed.
