Utilising advanced Resolution Performance Management (RPM) Technology, the CX5500 printer delivers incredible quality at resolutions up to 5760 Optimised dpi. With RMP Technology, the CX5500 uses medium sized dots for quickly laying down areas of solid colour, while finer dot sizes are used in areas of gradation and blending.
In combination with Genuine Epson inks and papers, the CX5500's results are documents and photographs with high levels of clarity and detail.
At the heart of the CX5500's scanning capabilities is the CCD (Charge Coupled Device) technology. This advanced technology takes full advantage of the high light sensitivity of silicon - the basis of CCDs - to achieve accurate colour scanning of photographs and colour documents. The result is a high performance scanning component, which is absolutely essential in delivering a value for money multifunction printer, like the CX5500.
With scanning resolutions of up to 600 x 1200 dpi, the Stylus CX5500 achieves accurate document and photo scanning. Add to this a pixel depth of 48 bit (input) and 24 bit (output), and scanning accuracy levels are outstanding.
