The Canon S530D inkjet printer displays superior versatility and innovative design.The Canon S530D printer offers built-in Exif Print support for easy, smart processing of digital images. The Canon S530D delivers fast, high-quality, borderless photo prints from sources as diverse as PC-based files, removable memory cards and Bubble Jet Direct-enabled Canon digital cameras. The Canon S530D printer can connect directly to Canon digital cameras such as the compact PowerShot Digital IXUS V2 and PowerShot Digital IXUS 330 as well as the sophisticated PowerShot S30, PowerShot S40, PowerShot G2 and PowerShot G2 Black models. The Canon S530D printer is also compatible with the newly announced PowerShot Digital IXUS V3, PowerShot S45 and PowerShot G3 via an included Bubble Jet Direct cable that allows users to print directly from the camera without connecting to a PC or having to remove the camera memory card. For those who want the ability to print photos directly but do not have a Bubble Jet Direct Canon camera, the Canon S530D printer also incorporate a PCMCIA Type II memory card slot so that virtually any brand of "digital film" can be inserted into the printer using an appropriate user-supplied PC card adaptor. The Canon S530D printer, has an optional image view screen (CV-100) which allows users to view images prior to printing. The Canon S530D Photo Printer incorporates Exif Print (Exif 2.2 "Exchangeable Image Format File") support within its printer control panel. This new worldwide open standard for higher quality digital photo printing enables smart image processing of digital camera images by embedding important camera settings (such as landscape or portrait mode or whether the flash was on or off), into the image file itself. The Canon S530D printer then utilises the Exif Print information when printing in order to provide the clearest, brightest image possible, based on Exif Print data. Exif Print is also supported in Canon's exclusive Easy-PhotoPrint software for Windows that ships with the Canon S530D. Easy-PhotoPrint is designed to print digital camera images with simplicity, speed, and quality, automatically adjusting print data and selecting the optimum driver settings for beautiful photographic output from your Canon S530D printer for results that more closely match the photographer's original intentions. Canon is also offering Easy-PhotoPrint as a no-charge download for users of Canon individual ink tank printers sold since 1999. The Canon S530D offers four sided borderless photo printing on selected 6" x 4" and A4 size papers. And thanks to Canon's unique permanent print head technology, this type of printing can be performed with the Canon S530D printer at dramatically faster printing speeds compared to competing brands. On competing models, the number of nozzles that can be used is limited when printing the top and bottom of the page when in borderless mode, but Canon's high-density multi-nozzle heads provide a sufficient number of nozzles and enough density to ensure high-quality and fast borderless prints. Latest generation print technology The Canon S530D showcase the latest generation of Canon's Advanced Microfine Droplet Technology. This revolutionary permanent print head design incorporates an ink ejection process that separates and ejects prescribed-volume, ultra-fine ink droplets from high-density nozzles with amazing precision. The Canon S530D printers system enables high-speed, high-quality printing, along with lower operating costs, as users do not need to replace expensive print heads whenever inks require replacement. In addition, the Canon Canon S530D printer uses specially formulated inks creating sharper text and vibrant, rich colours. Using these inks and Canon's Photo Paper Pro, photos will resist fading for up to 25 years while printing with the Canon S530D. The Canon S530D utilises Canon's hallmark individual ink tanks. This unique technology invented by Canon, offers users a substantial operating cost advantage, especially when printing photos with the Canon S530D. End-users only replace the individual ink tank they have depleted, eliminating ink wastage with the Canon S530D. In addition, the Canon ink tank system incorporates an optical ink sensor that triggers an on-screen warning with the Canon S530D so that users are alerted when the ink has run low, saving on wasted media and ink. The Canon S530D uses the four colour 3-Series inks that include a high capacity black ink tank that uses pigment ink for sharper black text, for unmatched photo printing results.
