Lexmark Premium Glossy Photo Paper is the highest quality of photo paper offered by Lexmark. This Lexmark heavyweight, high-gloss paper is optimized for use with Lexmark inks and inkjet printers, and offers brilliant colour reproduction and fade resistance technology, so it produces crisp, long-lasting photos exactly like Lexmark intended.
According to
Wilhelm Research, "Using cheaper third party inks and non-recommended photo paper can reduce the fade resistance and quality of your photos." They recommend using Lexmark inks and papers.
Lexmark's Evercolor II is a pigment-based ink system that is meant to be used with Lexmark's new PerfectFinish Photo Paper, a micro-porous photo paper that absorbs the printer inks quickly. Compared with conventional dye-based inks, the Lexmark Evercolor II pigmented inks dry more quickly and are highly resistant to water. Together, Lexmark's Evercolor II inks and Lexmark PerfectFinish Photo Paper yield high-quality photos that are remarkably resilient and durable – lasting for up to 100 years in a frame and up to 200 years in an album
(under certain conditions).
